I made an Easter pompom wreath! It took loads of yarn and time to hand make each and every one of those pompoms. I like how it turned out though, I can’t wait to make more for other holidays and color themes!

Camera Lesson

My Dad owns a canon rebel, and he’s going to give me a lesson on how to use it so I can take awesome pictures of my plushies, future works, and my Mom’s stuff so I can help her sell her things!

I’m going to be borrowing his camera and lenses all the time, so I can take wonderful pictures!

Also, would it be alright if I promoted you a bit on my tumblr? I have a pretty artistic/creative group of followers, and I want them to see (and hopefully buy?) your plushies. I might even put a link up on facebook, since I have die hard plushie loving friends on fb as well. Haha. Anyways! Ciao!

Experimenting with the new style of things I want to make! I want to make plushies and felt pieces that can be framed, or are in shadowboxes! This is a prototype. It’s not bad but I already see a lot of areas for improvement!

This is a felt bunny with plushie balloons, on a cream paper background. It can be framed in a glass-free frame! I can’t wait to make more, and better, frame-able/shadowbox plushies and felt things!

Valentine’s gift I made for my husband. It’s felt hearts on a black card stock background. I back stitched the stems/strings. I call them stems because there are leaves on them, but you could say the heart are balloons as well!

Hello dear followers! It has been a while since I posted much of anything! I wanted to let you all know why, and what is going on in my life, craft-wise and otherwise!

First, I am working on applying to Law School. I am taking the LSAT in June (eep!) and have been purchasing and studying books. I will not be going to law school until summer/fall of 2012 if I get in. It is a long and scary process though! Wish me luck, I am both nervous and excited!

I am having a bit of a downer time with my plushies. I haven’t sold anything on etsy, and it is making me a bit sad. I know making crafts needs to be for ME, and I love it, but I would like to know others like my stuff too! I am unsure on what to do to get myself more out there on etsy.

But! I am working on some new things! I’m really excited about them, and I can’t wait to post pictures, and then hopefully put some on etsy! It’s always really nice to get some magazines and books and be re-inspired to create!

I’m going to craft day tomorrow with my mom and her friends, I know it might sound lame to some, but I have a really nice time! We all work on our own things, we eat, we shop, we share ideas and inspiration!

Anyway, My Mom and I made these mini craft kits for each of the women, pink green and purple ones. They have things like vintage thread, binding seam, pins, vintage keys/clock faces, vintage silk flowers and foreign stamps, all sorts of fun little things. In addition, I made these cute little felt brooches!

I think they came out really nice and match the colors of the kits perfectly! I might make loads of them to either sell on etsy, or give away on etsy when (AND IF) I ever sell anything!
